1. Bundesliga

Schalke- Frankfurt: under 2.5,3 @ 1.85

Schalke is the better team here, but they might be coming out a bit flat after last weeks big derby win at Dortmund. They are not playing a high scoring style anyway and dont apply much pressure on opponents.being 4th in the table with 9-5 goals after 7 games show where the preference is..they are coming of a strong defense and struggle to put teams away.
Frankfurt is off to an surprising start and they will be most likely a mid-table team...but again they struggle on offense and are basing their success on a strong defense, even against better teams. if you take their first game off season (3-2 at Bremen) away they have a goal diff of 5-6 from 6 games so far, which shows exactly that trend.
low scoring game expected here with maybe a 1-0 winner or low scoring draw.

good start in the weekend.

Saturday

Leverkusen- Nürnberg: Leverkusen –1,-1.5 @ 2.04
<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
Leverkusen is one of the top teams in league and unbeaten so far. They are strong at home and have a very good history at home vs. Nürnberg. Nürnberg is struggling right now, especially on offense. They scored 4 goals in 7 matches.that will be tough to change against a Leverkusen team with the best defense in league…two goals of Leverkusen should be enough here to cover the line.

München- Köln: Köln +1.5,+2 @ 1.90

I grapped it yesterday already at +2 and now the line has started to move. Yes, its München against one of the bottom club in league at home, but yesterday came news that München will be missing Robben and Ribery with injury with van Buyten in defense still very much in doubt. München has already shown this season that they are struggling on offense without Ribery and I expect the same here..not saying that a draw is likely, but Köln should be able to keep it close. Köln is a better team than standings show due to the very tough schedule so far. They base their play on a very strong defense, which kept them in all games so far this season. They lost only two games against Wolfsburg and Hamburg by two goals, which came both in 89 min, but kept all other teams to low scoring games..i expect a similar approach in München and +1.75 or +2 is a hugh line. As an extra: Köln won last year 2-1 at München so they will not be too much scared.

Mainz- Hoffenheim: Hoffenheim –0.5 @1.91

Mainz with a surprising good start as a freshly promoted team. They played inspired offensive football at home when pushed by the home crowd and cought already a few them on the wrong foot with it. Different story with Hoffenheim: Hoffenheim is on a great run right now winning 5 matches after a struggling start in the season. The offense is clicking again as shown latest in last weeks 5-1 win vs. Berlin or 4-2 win at Gladbach.
If they have the space they need they are very tough to beat and Mainz fits exactly into that scheme. Mainz plays open football, but on a different level than Hoffenheim and should leave lots of gaps in their own defense.

Bochum- Wolfsburg: Wolfsburg –0.5 @ 1.85

Bochum struggled big time changed the coach and responded with a 1-0 away win at Nürnberg..but still this was Nürnberg a team on the same level. Wolfsburg is a different story…they score lots of goals in home and away game and if you have seen th e midweek game at ManU, you know they are not shy of attacking in away games and should be able to get a win here as the superior team.

Hey chriscol, ive been checking you out now and then on the soccer forum, and every time i check it seems that u win a majority of games!! Just curious as to what your record is in the bundesliga 1 this season, and last, but only the top league, not bundesliga 2 and 3.

Just curious, i imagine it is very impressive.

St.Pauli won !

no more plays for today..too many question marks

Stuttgart played better recently, but still in a crisis, especially on offense.
Bremen you never have an idea with at the moment..they show better results, but even played a couple of 0-0 lately which is uncharacteristic...they have a very bad history at Stuttgart

Berlin has new coach today..so also a questionmark how they will react to that. they have a good history at home vs. Hamburg, which is coming of a euro league win, but is sometimes struggling abit in away games this year...this can go either way also regarding the total

Hey chris. I was thinking about traveling to Munich next year for Oktoberfest. I hear the celebrations in Stuttgart are better because they don't have so many tourists. Which do you prefer?

Thanks in advance.

Monday 2. Bundesliga

Karlsruhe- Bielefeld: Bielefeld pk @2.16 and over 2.5 @1.92

Karlsruhe is not playing too well this season. after playing a bit better football under new coach they lost at Kaiserslautern 0-2, which can always happen..they have shown already this season that they dont have any real home advantage: 1-1 vs. Aachen, 0-4 vs. St.Pauli and 2-0 vs. bottom team Frankfurt.
Meanwhile Bielefeld is probably the best team in league right now . after some struggles to start the season they have now won 4 in a row and also against the better competition in league. they won at Fürth, at Duisburg and beat St.Pauli at home, mixed with a solid home win over lowly Ahlen. they are not afraid of attacking and going for the win in away games, which results so far in 2-3,4-2,3-0 in away games.
KArlsruhe had also in all 7 games so far 2 goals, with 3 of them reaching at least 4. their coach is saying that he want to improve on offense so i expect them also not to hide.
3 goals should be very likely here and to get Bielefeld at pk is also a nice bet (line is actually moving even to +0.25).

Oktoberfest is definetely the place to go. The Stuttgart event is not so popular under Germans, although its pretty big. also it s more of a local event.
For Oktoberfest even the Germans come from everywhere in the country and the Tourists (like you :toast:) are part of the fun....especially when you watch the tiny Japanese trying to lift and drink a Mass Bier:103631605
